Short description of the services tendered:

Due to the high population growth rate as well as the high influx of Syrian refugees, the Jordanian education is in demand of new educational infrastructure. In order to cope with the increased demand of new and state of the art schools within the Jordanian territory a cooperation has been initiated between the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Government of Germany represented by KfW. Approximately 34 million EUR will be granted for the School Construction Programme III & IV. The implementation period is estimated to 60 months.

The project is seeking for an implementation consultant to support the project partner in the planning and implementation of new school infrastructure.

The prequalification of experienced consultants is subject to the “Guidelines for the Procurement of Consulting Services, Works, Plant, Goods and Non-Consulting Services in Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries” (see https://www.kfw-entwicklungsbank.de/PDF/Download-Center/PDF-Dokumente-Richtlinien/Vergaberichtlinien-2019-Englisch-Internet_2.pdf). The contract will be awarded to a consortium consisting of an international consultant firm in cooperation with a consultant registered in Jordan, classified by the Government Tenders Directorate (“GTD”) as First Grade (A) in the field of buildings. The lead consultant shall have a minimum average turnover per annum of 3 million EUR over the last 3 years.
